I am out of Canada but receiving calls from Canada, but I didn't tel fido to activate roaming, what should I do? and I didn't receive phone calls from Canada then also I will be charge for the roaming?

Trouble receiving SMS verification codes

Hi, I was recently on a phone call with TD Bank and I was having trouble receiving SMS verification codes from them. I'm not sure why this is happening. I have a talk and text plan and my device is a Samsung Galaxy S20+.
