How do I end my plan and close my account without having to phone anyone? I have no more obligations beyond a monthly payment.
My phone wont detect the SIM card anymore, none of the usual tricks will fix it so I just wanted a replacement SIM card. But Fido's online support is so awful and cyclical as to be non-existent.
I can't order a SIM card over the net and the AI chat bar never "connects me to a specialist". So I tried contacting through email. I'm getting an automated reply from "Joseph, the Fido Office of the President Team" to tell me that they can't reach me on my phone and I have to phone them. I emailed specifically because my phone isn't working and their online help is no help, The stupidity and runaround is too much.
I can't rely on a phone company that requires me to phone in or show up in person despite having the internet available and every means to communicate but simply wont.

Actually, don't worry about it. I'll sign up for a Telus phone account right now and call Fido to cancel from there when it comes in. Fido's clearly cut too many corners.
