upgraded new phone and selling Iphone 7+ -do I need to remove the SIM card of the phone I am selling, as got new SIIM card with new Iphone?

Welcome to the Fido community!

If you did not activate the new SIM card and the old card works fine and if it fits in the new phone you can use the old card in the new phone and keep the new one for future use.

To answer your question yes you should remove the old SIM card before you sell the phone for privacy.

Just to add to @NaliniR's point, you should also reset the device you're selling to erase all your data. You should also make sure to back up your info before if you haven't already done so.
