Refund on Final Bill

I switched my phone from Postpaid to Prepaid awhile back, and I still have a negative credit balance on my previous Postpaid account. I thought it might get refunded automatically, but I keep receiving "final bills" indicating the credit balance. How do I go about getting this amount refunded to my CC?

Hii can i also get cheque plzz its been 2 months i deactivated my account and my bill is -40  and thats final bill

A cheque is sent to the address on file 2-3 weeks after you receive the final bill! 

 

Has it been over 3 weeks? If not, your cheque is on the way Wink

These kinds of refunds are usually processed within a few weeks from the time the final invoice is received. 

 

In this case, can you confirm if you've moved since the date of the cancellation?

 After moving and changing a new address, I canceled my plan.

Do you still have access to your Fido My Account? Can you verify whether we have the right address on file? 

 

If we don't that would explain the delay and we'll need to update it.

When you have a credit balance on your final bill, a refund cheque is usually sent out between 1 to 3 weeks after your final invoice is released.

The question is if a Fido account is canceled and the account has a credit (negative) balance on the final bill when will Fido issue a refund for Ontario customers?

 

I looked at Fido's T&C but couldn't find anything (except for Newfoundland customers), I searched the forum and called in and the answer was anywhere between 1 week to 6 weeks which is odd, I mean if the (former) Fido customer would have to make a payment would Fido accept a 1 to 6 weeks delay or would it say "Pay Immediately"?

Hi Amanda,

Cancelled Internet at the beginning of cycle June 3, 2019. Final bill from July 1, 2019 shows -$34,27. Unfortunately the solution in this thread doesn't seem to apply to my particular case (didn't get a cheque yet).

I switched my account from Fido to Virgin and now my credit balance shows -13.12$.
