Hello:
I am trying to understand my first bill for a new internet home connection ($45 per month net of $30 credit for the first 12 months):
Jan 25, 2021: Order placed for a new connection
Jan 26, 2021: Modem received
Feb 03, 2021: Bill received for $63.68
I understand that there is a prorated amount included in the bill for the 5 days of Jan 2021 ($11.35 of other charges due to partial monthly charges) and an HST of $7.33. However, I am unable to work my way towards the amount of the bill. How has this prorata been calculated? No per day calculation leads me to an amount of $11.35 for 5 days. Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Hello @IMS25,
Fido apply credits only once per bill so you would have been billed at full rate for the first 5 days and for the following month then the credit would be applied. The credit would never exceed $30 as you mentioned per bill.
