Trouble receiving SMS verification codes

Hi, I was recently on a phone call with TD Bank and I was having trouble receiving SMS verification codes from them. I'm not sure why this is happening. I have a talk and text plan and my device is a Samsung Galaxy S20+.

Hello, I would like to port over one lines of my two lines to Public Mobile. However if I enter my account number to port over my phone number, will it close my Fido account? Please let me know, I would like one line to stay with Fido.    Best,
