Went into the store with the requirement to call to the US and the UK, the guy at the counter told me to get my current plan with 1000 international call minutes. My phone won't call to the UK and I just received a bill with an additional $96 for calling the US. Called the help line and they just said they couldn't help me but that they could see that I did have the 1000 international minutes, but that they didn't know why calling the UK didn't work and that it wasn't valid for the US and there's nothing they could do. Thank goodness my plan is almost over and I can leave this SCAM of a company behind

Hello Georgiaballer,
Welcome to the community!
Sorry to hear of your situation. You should note that this forum is community-driven and not intended as a venue for customer services. We do not have access to customers' accounts and would not know the details of your particular plan and promotional add-on offer. Unfortunately, only some plans include calling to the US. With the exception of those plans from Québec, many of the plans were only available during the Black Friday and the run-up to Christmas. I do not see any other Province with current plan offerings which include calling to US.
With regards to the 1000 International minutes, you should note that those minutes are only to certain Countries. In addition, it should also be noted that the included Countries can vary depending on when you received that promotion (see here). Unfortunately, I don't believe the US was ever included in that promotion. If you do require calling to the US, they do offer an US calling add-on (see here, under calling).
I understand you have been unable to make calls to the UK. Have you been using the proper International dialling format (see here)? Did you know to not include the trunk prefix (ie initial 0 of area code)?
I also understand you may have already contacted customer service. However, if you wished to verify whether there are any calling blocks on your line or further discuss your situaiton, you would need to contact customer service. In addition, they can also be contacted via Live Chat, Facebook, or Twitter. Those methods can be accessed via the contact page posted above.
Hope this helps 😀
Cheers
