Hello, I currently pay for a monthly subscription to a sim card and a number at fido.
Here's the deal, I will shortly receive an Iphone 14pro as a gift and realized that it was uncompatible with rock hard SIM, it requires instead an eSIM
Would I have to change my phone number as well as my sim to an eSIM ?
Would my current subcription will be cancelled in terms of a new one ?
Would I have to pay any fees to change my SIM to an eSIM ?

No, your phone number and plan are associated with your line on your account. The SIM (physical or eSIM) is only a link between your device and your line. Once you receive your eSIM, you would just need to update the SIM card information on your account (see here). I understand those instructions state being able to update the SIM card information via your My Account. However, you may need to go to a store or contact customer service to update that information.

As far as I am aware, there would be a fee for a new SIM (physical card or eSIM)(see here).
