Hello, i  broke my phone screen and I am trying to get a new phone but i still have 7 months left on my contract. Any solution  other than paying the balance?

i've been with fido since 2012 and i have 2 lines on my account

Welcome to the community!

 

Sorry to hear that you broke your phone.

If you want to do an early upgrade to get another phone you will have to pay off the balance of the phone.

 

You can also take your phone to any local repair shop and see how much it will cost to replace the broken screen on your current phone and you can decided if its worth fixing or just paying off the balance and do an upgrade.

the cost to repair is around 300$. The balance of my contract is 175$. It looks like i will have to pay off the balance.I was trying to get an open box phone in order to get  a 150$ credit but the phones they have are 500$ or less.I wish i could find a better offer
