WiFi Calling for Samsung S9 Not purchased through Fido

I got my S9 from Samsung directly and it seems Fido does not enable WiFi calling for devices not purchased through Fido directly. Is there a way to enable the feature that the carrier locks specifically to the their own devices? Seems unreasonable that you can't use all your phone features because you didn't buy it from the carrier themselves.

Not sure if this has anything to do with it but under my SIM card status - IMS registration status it says "Not Registered"

Just a positive update on the matter: 

Thanks a lot to Fido Tech Support, they finally fixed VoLTE/Wifi calling on my Galaxy S9. First time it actually works.

It was a problem with my configuration on the backend, so if it doesn't work for you and you have an S8 and above, do raise a ticket with Fido!

Will it work only with Samsung S8 and above, or with any unlocked device? I have a Xiaomi MI 9 SE and VoLTE and Wifi Calling is not supported.

Hey @pcdery1,

As of May 24, 2019, only Samsung Galaxy S8 and above, iPhone 6 and above and LG G8 thinQ are compatible.
