Email deleting

Hello, I have a Samsung Fe 20 . I am trying to clear my hotmail email. I have done this. But when I open it it has emails from 3yrs ago. I delete these and they always come back can someone tell why this would be?

That is definitely odd. Did you try deleting the app and reinstalling it?

I figured it out. I had to delete each email individually.  Must open them up then delete. Once they go into junk mail then they can be deleted by selecting all .
