Blackberry data connection displayed as GSM

My blackberry its supposed to be in an EDGE data service but now is in GSM!!! What should I do??

In your case, GSM displayed on the screen means you are no longer provisioned in the switch. For this, you'll need to contact our tech support.

There could be a capacity issue at the tower ie possible link went down, so the phone could be connecting at a slowr speed hence GSM which I believe means GPRS.  You could also try powercycling your phone ie removing the battery and putting it back in and see if it helps.
