Activation New SIM card: Old SIM card not valid

Hello,

I got my new phone and new SIM card a while back and when I went to activate the new SIM card the old SIM card appeared to be not valid even though I just took it off of my fully functioning old phone.  How can I activate my new SIM card?

I'm having the same problem.  Trying to update the SIM for my new phone, I get the error "Sorry, that is not the SIM number associated to your phone number. Please try again."

I've checked both the old and new numbers over and over again, tried using different browsers too, but I still get the error.

Were you able to update your SIM card since your post? If not, the reason is likely because you're SIM card is already registered to your number, but it hasn't been activated yet. You'll need to contact us directly to activate for you.

I have been trying online to register the new sim card. I have typed in correctly the old sim number and new sim number multiple times and it states that it is not the correct sim number registered to my phone number? It's the 20 digit code I have here starting with 89302 I have been inputting over and over again (both old and new). I am pretty sure it is the correct one.

my experience was that i had an new unactivated sim from my friend,

i tried to activate the sim no good, then i went to the store the sales person attempted and did not work (due the fact that the new sim was already activated {he and i thought it was strange}), so he activated an another new sim and no problems.

my suggestion is goto to store, have then sales people to activate the same sim, worse case is u should get an new sim.

On fido.ca, trying to activate new fido SIM card.
