Transfering e-sim to new phone

Currently using an e-sim with Fido and want to transfer that to my new phone that will be here in a week..

What is the best way to do it?

I found this article on Fido.ca and it seems like you're able to just use the app to transfer your e-sim to your new phone.

Yet Fido livechat has told me that is only for new activations and i have to go to a store to purchase a new e-sim....doesn't make sense.

Has anybody done this?

Yes, this can only be done in store at the moment.
