NO data bytes OPTION in APP

                                                    I am a NEW fido CUSTOMER.

 

first downloaded the app 13 days ago and I remember seeing the Databytes option on the main screen.

when I updated the app about 8 days ago on my iphone 6s ios 10.3
my data bytes option disappeared....

I dont even have the option to shake anymore everything is gone.

 

PS: yes I have read about 10 forums about this issue and there are none that are really being treated just the same advice.

 

PPS: I have contacted customer service and they sent me a link on how to set it up.....No help.

I have the exact same problem

I dont mean to be mean here, but I have seen the replies you Mods provide, they do not help at all. I do not want copy and paste answers

1. I am on Fido Pulse plan, confirmed with texting "PULSE" to 222,  and checking online account 

2. App is on latest update

3. Im on Fido network

4. I have reinstalled the app

5. Im running Android 7.0

6. Send me a PM asap

7. I hope this isnt any intentional flaw designed to reduce data used

Hello, I am having that same issue right now. Fido didn't help me either. I updated the app, but I was also getting a pop up that said my data bytes are not available or I cannot connect to data bytes at this time and to try again later. And if I get it to do away, the option for the data bytes isn't even there anymore.. can u help me please?

Please help me with this

Good job on the research! We're always glad to help you out here on the community. Smiley

 

The first thing that comes to mind when reading your post is that you need to update your iPhone software to the latest version of iOS.

 

If you've got the latest version of the Fido My Account app but your software is not up-to-date, that can create an conflict in the execution of the app.

 

Try that before anything else and let us know how it goes!

Hey just to get back to everyone.

I reset my phone completely, it was easy it's a new phone.

then i upgraded to the most recent ios (that I hate) Tongue

finally redownloaded the fido app
AND GUESS WHAT!! 😮 

.....................

no luck.
I have 0 data and I feel like im addicted because I find myself at any free wifi spot I pass on my way home from work.

I need data D: !! why can't I use data bytes ??

Have you also confirmed if you have a Fido Pulse plan? Data Bytes is exclusively offered on Pulse plans only.

 

I'll be sending a PM your way so we can have a closer look at this.

I will try that, hopefully it solves it im just confused as to why I was able to see it before.

I'm having the same issue - there is no Data bytes banner for me in the app. A few notes:

 

  • My app is up-to-date
  • My iOS is up-to-date
  • I am accessing the app from the Fido network (not wifi)

Please help!

FIDO APP - NO DATA BYTES OPTION

 

I just tried logging into my Fido app to use my data bytes. Right after I had logged in, this pop up said "unable to use data bytes at this time. Try again later." The pop up wouldn't go away, and kept popping up so fast that it just didn't go away!! I uninstalled the app updates and reinstalled it. The app acted like I was a new customer, asking me to authenticate my phone. I got past that only to find the data bytes option still not there, and then those same pop ups came back AGAIN!!! Does anyone know how to fix this problem?? I tried calling tech support but it's closed (Canada Day Holiday weekend) and also went to Fido.ca and used Fido Chat to only be told to call tech support again... PLEASE HELP ME! I am so sick of paying for things that Fido can't make available to me. This kind of stuff just keeps on happening to me in regards to this app. What can I do?!?

I'm sad to see you're experiencing complications with this feature. Can you tell us if you can launch the ``My Data Bytes History`` when you click on ``More``at the bottom right of the App? 


If so, how many remaining data bytes sessions do you see left for this current cycle?

And when logging on the Fido App, if you try to hit the "Remember Me" button, do you get the same result after logging?

Are you able to access all other features on the app such as the invoices? 

 

Also, if you go in the "More" tab, do you see the "My Data Bytes History" banner there?

I can see the bill overview, yes. I don’t see anything about data bytes in the More section or anywhere else in the app, though

Did you ever use a Data Byte before?

 

If yes, when is the last time you used one?

 

We might have to take a direct look at your account for that so you can definitely contact us for that
