Keeping my current plan when upgrading

I am trying to upgrade my galaxy s5 neo to a galaxy s8 and keep my existing plan, when i go online and choose the phone I don't get any slider or tap to keep existing plan. It's a smart plan from a few years back so I think it's a small plan? can someone confirm?
