Hi there,
I've recently noticed my device balance is $0 but there has been no change to my monthly bill total.
Isn't it supposed to go down once it's been paid off as I know own the device. No trade in deal or anything like that.
Thanks

Hello Samanthaam,
Welcome to the community!
Firstly, you should note this forum is community-driven and not intended as a venue for customer services. We would not have access to customer accounts so we would not know the details of your device financing. Since Fido had switched from their subsidised plans to their Payment Program, the monthly service costs are separate from the monthly financing costs. Generally, once a device has been fully paid, there would no longer be any monthly financing costs so total monthly costs often go down.
With many of the device offers, Fido does not actually discount the cost of the device. Rather, they provide a monthly credit to off-set the device cost. That monthly credit is applied to the bill and not device financing cost. The device cost shown in promotions and on the website are usually calcuated after bill credit.
Depending on the details of your financing agreement, it's possible your monthly total costs might not change. For example if you were receiving a monthly credit to offset the full monthly financing amount, your total monthly cost amount would be for services only. There would no longer be any monthly financing cost, but you would also not receive any monthly credit.
That said, it's also possible your monthly bill total includes your last device payment which results in your device balance being $0.Have you had a chance to view the detailed billing? You should be able to view those details via your My Account --> View & Manage bill.
If you would like to discuss your bill, you would need to contact customer service. They can also be contacted via Live Chat, Facebook, or Twitter. Those methods can be accessed via the contact page posted above.
Hope this helps 😀
Cheers
