Hey Community!
Since voicemail has been the top searched word over the past 5 years, we thought it would be a good idea to blog about it. So without further ado, here’s a list of frequently asked questions we put together for you:
What is the voicemail number?
Regular voicemail: +1 416 821-6549
Visual voicemail for iPhones : +1 647 839-6178
Don’t worry about the area code being different than your own; these two numbers apply to all Fido customers across Canada.
How do I register my voicemail number in my phone?
If you bought your phone from Fido your voicemail number is already registered on your phone and you don’t need to change anything.
If you didn’t buy your phone from Fido, proceed as follows:
This is for customers without Visual Voicemail:
What is my access code?
You are prompted to choose your own code when you first access your voicemail.
I forgot my access code
No problem, follow these easy steps to reset it.
How do I listen to my messages?
You have two ways of going about that:
From your Fido phone:
From any other phone:
Why do I get a +18 message when I have a voicemail?
The +18 text message is a notification to let you know that someone has left you a voicemail message. There is no way to turn this notification off (in case you were wondering).
Why do my calls go straight to voicemail?
Calls are automatically forwarded to voicemail when your phone is off, on airplane mode, Do Not Disturb mode, or when you’re outside of the coverage area (no service).
How do I bypass the voice signature recording during the setup?
It’s unfortunately not possible; that step can no longer be skipped. Also, once you record the voice signature, it can’t be deleted afterwards.

We hope that’s everything, but if we missed something, go ahead and post your question in the comments and we’ll get the answer for you : )
Cheers and happy voicemail awareness day! (not an official holiday, we just made that up)
