android wifi calling via Bell modem stuck on 'requesting service'?

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G / Bell 4000 modem @ 15 Mbps and did the set up for wifi calling. I had trouble getting it to accept my 911 address and now all it says is 'reqesting service...'  in the background?  tks
