Will the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 work with Fido?

I am looking to purchase a new phone and have been looking at the Pocophone F1. The phone is compatible with 3G HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 - 4G LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 20(800), 38(2600), 40(2300), 41(2500) - Hybrid Dual SIM. Is this compatible with Fido's networks?

  The Hybrid Dual SIM refers to one of the SIM slots fitted for either a SIM or SD card.

   The phone appears to have similar bands/frequencies to the version in the other thread. So the phone should work on the networks. However, since the phone only has one compatible LTE band, band 7 (2600MHz) ,coverage would depend on whether your local cellular towers use that band/frequency.

hi

this would work in large cities , outside the city, maybe. email the xiaomi and ask if it works for rogers (or use usa carrier similar to rogers network), as Chinese companies may not know anything about Canadian carriers

  We need to be careful about generalisations. Some large cities might not use that band/frequency and if they do, it might not be as widely used throughout the city. The other problem with large cities it that they often have large sources of potential interference (ie buildings). Out of all of the bands/frequencies deployed by Fido/Rogers, band 7 or 2600MHz would be the most prone to potential interference.
