Hey,

Hope you're doing well!

Recently updated my phone to a OnePlus Nord 3 CE lite which I purchased in India. I reside in Canada and been using OnePlus and Fido for the last 7 years.

Currently unable to make/receive calls however I can send/receive texts and access 4gb LTE data.

To troubleshoot the issue I visited a Fido store and updated my sim card and read a few posts on APN/reset network settings etc but no luck.

Hoping someone cdn assist help.

Thank you

Hello Shaileshnath,

  Welcome to the community!

I understand you may have previously used OnePlus devices with Fido. However, where they all purchased from India? There are often differing variants for the different regions. Some variations might include include different bands/frequencies. Unfortunately, I was not able to find the band/frequency listing for that device on the OnePlus India website. While they do provide a local carrier compatibility chart, it does not provide any 2G or '3G' band/frequency information.

That said, I was able to find possible specifications for that particular variant here.

4G Bands:
TD-LTE 2300(band 40) / 2500(band 41)
FD-LTE 2100(band 1) / 1800(band 3) / 900(band 8 ) / 850(band 5)
3G Bands:
UMTS 1900 / 2100 / 850 / 900 MHz
2G Bands:
GSM 1800 / 1900 / 850 / 900 MHz

According to those specifications, that device appears to have the compatible band/frequency for 2G and '3G'. However, that phone appears to only support one LTE band/frequency. You can view the compatible bands/frequencies here. You should note that band 5 is generally reserved for aggregating with other bands for LTE Advanced (see here). That said, it appears as though the device can access that band to use data.

I understand you have attempted to troubleshoot the APN settings. Have you tried to disable voice-over-LTE or HD-calling on the device? While the phone should work on the networks, you should note that since Fido does not offer OnePlus devices, it's unlikely certain features (ie voLTE and/or Wifi-calling) will work with that device. Disabling that feature should allow it to fall-back to the '3G' (and/or 2G) network for calls.

Hope this helps 😀

Cheers
