iphone visual voicemail: after unsubscribe, do old vmails remain on phone?

Hi,

Though I love the feature, I simply can't justify the added expense anymore for the "value" pack that includes iphone visual voicemail.  I think I can get by with the mini voicemail.

I am just about to remove that valuepack/feature, but would like to know if the messages on my phone (years worth) will remain there?

I see a Voicemail to Text add-on. Can I order and use it on iPhone without downloading any apps?

  Welcome to the community!

  As far as I am aware, the actual voicemail messages are stored on your iPhone's internal memory (see here and here). If that's the case, then I don't think unsubscribing from Visual Voicemail should affect the messages already stored on your phone. However, you might consider verifying that information with Apple since the app would normally sync with the servers.

  I can understand wishing to reduce monthly charges. Are you aware that the Visual Voicemail might be available on its own? I understand it's not listed on the Fido Add-on page, however, I believe it is an option you can request from customer service. As a standalone add-on, the cost would be less than that for the Value Pack.

  If you would like to cancel your Value Pack or switch to the standalone Visual Voicemail add-on, you would need to contact customer service. In addition, they can also be contacted via Live Chat, Facebook, or Twitter. Those methods can be accessed via the contact page posted above.
