Resolved! Why are iphones only on a 3 year?

Looking for an iphone for my mother in law and you have some great plans, but only for a 2 year contract.   Why are iphones only on a 3 year plan, which means I can only use the max plan at minimum $55/month?     ***Edited to add labels***

Resolved! prepaid sim card

I went to Toronto last year and stayed for one month. During the visit, I purchased a Fido prepaid sim card. Next month, I'll be in Toronto again, and I want to refill my prepaid account before arrival. Can I still use my old Fido sim card?
