If Samsung released the November security update first week of November.......is it fido who is dropping the ball releasing it to customer or fido didn't end up getting it?

Hello @Evileyes,
The updates come directly from the manufacturer and it's always pushed out in batches, if you want you can try using the Samsung Smart Switch app and see if you can force the update.

Samsung release then fido tests ,then they release...also how do Samsung smart switch force update ..isn't it a back up and then restore...don't see how to force a update from manufacturer.

@Evileyes The manufacturer would make the update and work with the carriers to ensure everything is okay, and then the manufacturer would push the update, in my opinion, I honestly do not see this as the process for every security update unless something is being changed in the way the device operates with the carrier system I do not see the carriers testing every security update before release that's just my opinion.
You need to use Smart Switch on a computer to force the update see here.

Yes Samsung released ,after that it's when fido releases...so guess fido and tech are dropping ball..🤔

Hello @Evileyes, again the update comes directly from Samsung, not Fido, Samsung also has different variants of region-specific models of their phone once Samsung has the update or the Canadian Variant they will push it out in batches so it can take time before it is pushed to your device.

Samsung then to fido to test, says so right on how it is released from fido page....Samsung also says it works that way some companies may test or make small changes to make sure all runs good on there network...so who is slow...

@Evileyes you are missing the point the update comes directly from Samsung, not Fido if you contact Samsung they will tell you it's Fido because they don't care to keep explaining to everyone that the updates are released in batches and because they have different variants of the same series phone their customer service probable won't even know what update is out for a specific variant of a specific series.
You either wait for Samsung to push the update or learn to do it manually.

Samsung has released for s24 ultra...and if it comes directly from them and fido has nothing to do with it...why is they security updates directly from fido....which October had date on Fido...
You also miss the point..
If no update came from fido why do fido list their release dates for os and security update..
One could go threw the trouble to use abd or Odin...but we shouldn't have to.....for security or os updates....only should need to if we want to change original os to something else..
