Porting a number from some1else's phone......

hi all.

I just opened a line with fido on my name, using my credit card to give it to my GF.

now she wants to use her old cell number on new phone. but it's on my name.

If I bring her with me and piece of id for both me and my gf, 

Will I be able to port the number from her iphone to my new phone?

If anyone has answers to this, please let me know.

You just need to call Fido and have the number switched over, it doesnt matter who's name is on it, they will port the number over with no hassle. You don't need to go to the store with ID, they will more than likely refer you to customer service

No need to go a store with ID, simply call us to submit the port request. All we need is the phone number and associated account number

also make sure when u port from a number which is in someone elses name, there might be some stipulations, i was told that the account must be in the same name if porting beacuse if you port john smith to gary walker, it would constitute some kind of fraud because the names dont match,
