I just have a quick question, is incoming text free of charge?

I just have a quick question, is incoming text free of charge? I don't have text plan, my plan could only have "incoming call" and "outgoing call". So, in my plan's detail, it doesn't mention anything related to text. Just curious if someone sent me text, would I be charged?

Incoming text messages from other mobile phone numbers are free and unlimited. Messages from short codes / premium / third party text messages may incur charges.

for month to month subscribers, Fido provides incoming message for free. Other carriers do charge a fee unless stated otherwise.
