Do all Fido/ Rogers LTE frequency bands exist on each individual cell tower or do some towers only support one or two of the bands?

Hello Watchman_y,

  Welcome to the community!

No, not all bands/frequencies are used on all cellular towers. Some of the towers may only use one band/frequency. You can view the bands/frequencies used by Fido here. You can get an idea of the bands/frequencies used at your area towers here.

May I ask why you are requesting that information? If you are considering a device with limited bands/frequencies, it would be likely that device is not available from Fido. You should note that devices not purchased nor available from Fido won't likely be supported for certain functions, like voLTE and Wifi-calling.

In addition, you should note that different bands/frequencies have varying characteristics. For example, while the higher frequencies (ie 2600MHz) have more bandwidth, the lower frequencies (ie 700MHz) are able to travel farther and penetrate obstructions better.

Hope this helps 😀

Cheers

Yes that helps immensely, actually it went above and beyond, thank you.
