Fido is not loyal to customers.

Fido does not care about their current customers. I have been with Fido for 20+ years and I pay twice as much as a new user. They have more data. No need to stay loyal to such a company. There are other options. I can take my business elsewhere...

Been with fido since 2002. They alway resolve my issue. All it takes is patience. Call 611 present your issue if not resolved, simple ask to speak with superior manager. If such does not help ask to have a loyal customer representative call you back, as they have more tools in their hands to assist you.

Hello Kiru,

Fido does care about their existing customers. Unfortunately, some customers do not appreciate the loyalty gestures offered. For example, many customers have received offers for free additional data. Sadly, some customers have complained that the amount of free data they were offered was not enough. Alas, in this day and age, loyalty has lost its meaing. Loyalty gestures do not have to equate as cheaper plans.

I understand it's frustrating not being able to avail of the same promotional offers as new customers. However, incentive promotions are not uncommon. For example, banks often offer better interest rates (for a set period) or even tablets for new customers or their credit cards may offer lower interest rates or special cash-back promotions (also for a set period) for new customers. If one already has an account at that bank or already has that particular credit card, they are not able to avail of those offers.

Customers are free to choose the option which suits them best.

Hope this helps 😀

Cheers

As you said, loyalty has lost its meaning in this day and age. Customers complaing that the amount of free dada is not enough is likely because it isn't even up to par with what other FIDO customers receive. In this day and age, how on earth is it OK to offer a plan for $40 for 1gb for existing customers while $40 for 30 or 40gb is available to others.
I understand that customers maybe on a device contract but offering 1gb for the same price as 40gb for someone else?? The argument that banks offer better rates etc doesn't work here, they aren't offering a huge percentange difference, there is a level of reasonableness to it. A promo of a tablet or a .25 percentage reduction to attract customers is understandable.

Offering 30gb for 34$ to new customers and offering 1gb for $40 to existing customers is no where as reasonable even if a device contract is in place. I'm just appaled that Fido offers a 1gb plan in this day and age. Like come on, you can do better!! Either way rest assured, once my device contract ends or even nears it end, i'm bailing out to other providers who offer significantly better service for lesser.

I hope Fido learns at some point, But i'm not holding my breath over it.

What stops you from switching to 50gb for 45$?
