Fee to change phone plan?

I just financed a new phone with minimal data plan. I received a message that I could change to a plan that's $5 cheaper, but offers more data. Would I be charged a "downgrade plan fee?" or would this be considered an upgrade since I'm buying more data (but for cheaper?).

There's no charge to change your plan, unless that plan is not eligible for financing. If you've received a message for the new after this, you should be good to go! However, you can contact us here and we'll be happy to take a closer look with you.
