Cancel mobile plan while overseas

I have moved from Canada to Australia and I am unable to cancel my account and keep getting charged $60/mo. 

The live chat does not work and repeatly says that it cannot connect me to a specialist (no matter what combination of options I pick). When I call through the overseas number +1-514-925-4590, it never gives me to option to just wait on the line so I can talk to someone and it won't recognize my Australia number to schedule a call back (with and without the international codes, 0011, +, etc). It's already hard enough with the 12 hour time difference!

Sorry to hear you’re still stuck after trying the overseas number and Live Chat—that must be really frustrating! Since those options didn’t work, you could try reaching out to Fido through their social media accounts (@FidoSolutions
on Twitter or their Facebook page) with a quick DM explaining your situation—being overseas and needing to cancel. They’re usually pretty responsive there. Alternatively, if you have a trusted friend or family member in Canada, you could ask them to call Fido on your behalf (1-888-481-3436) with your account details; just make sure they’re authorized to act for you.
