I've been having issues with the internet for a while now. Laptops, phones, tv's always dropping off the wifi. Got tech support to come out a few days ago. Put in a new wire from the box on the house(old one went through a splitter). He tested the signal and said it was better. Also moved the modem from the basement to the main floor which we thought would help. And switched out the old hitron modem to a coda-4582u. And with all of that my internet is actually worse. Called tech support. Just just on hold for 40mins when an automated message came on saying "we cant take your call right now" and they hung up on me. On hold again for the last 20 mins. Not expecting much. Very frustrating. Hard to work from home with no internet.

How did you move your modem? Did you already have another TV connection on main floor? I've got a connection on the main floor but need one on my second floor. Tech said they couldn't come in the house to add a port.
