Extremely Slow Internet

I am paying for 150mbps service but I'm getting 5-6mbps speed in return. It is not a sudden drop but rather a very consistent extremely slow speed I've been getting. I'm getting really annoyed of this and seriously looking for alternate home internet service provider.

In order to do a true speed test, you should do it over an ethernet connection and not WiFi as there are many things that can affect the WiFi signal such as the device, appliances, and even your neighbours WiFi.



Hello, @1angrycustomer , sounds like a router or modem reboot is required. If you've already done that, a look at the router settings with Fido technical support might be in order. Could be a firmware upgrade,a change of settings, or.....  you may have extra devices continuously accessing your internet that could be slowing it down. Sounds like a job for technical support.
