My Fido internet stopped working today. The internet bar says I'm connected however I can't get online. At the same time, a window pops up requiring me to log into to Hitron with a username and password.
I was worried I was hacked, but checked the modem and this is the manufacturer's name.
I tried logging in with my internet name and password and it says 'wrong username'.

I have tried resetting the modem and doing a factory reset. in fact i tried this twice and i still cannot get in to the modem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
We'd love to help, we'd just need some more information as to what happens when you try to log in.
Are you able to get to the login screen? If so, is it the username and password that aren't working?

I can not access my router login page, I'm entering the correct IP address (I've double checked via "ipconfig" to be sure) but the browser (Edge, Chrome) just say "site can not be reached". I has worked once a couple weeks ago, and ONLY once.
I'm trying to login to forward some ports.
In this case we would recommend rebooting the modem. If it still doesn't work after this, the next best step would be doing a full factory reset.
Can you give it a try and to let us know what happens?

Try using the default login located on the modem I believe the user is cusadmin and password is password.
If that password does not work try using the password you set for your WiFi.
