Hi guys!
I just requested Fido to put a note on my account to the fact that: " I'll never ask to port my number." and they graciously did. It took me 3 minutes!
Our lives revolves around our numbers as id meanwhile of a more robust system Better safe than sorry!

Hi everyone:
For peace of mind just phone customer service and request Port Protection and the customer service agent will do it for you over the phone - did not take more than 5 minutes. Due to their security policy you have to make request over the phone - can not do it through chat box. An extra layer of security is always a good thing. Customer service agent was great.
