lots of noise after switched to fido home phone

I recently switched to Fido home phone and I can not use my home phone. People complains it's so noisy they can not hear me and my voice is cracking. I have ZTE modem and it's right beside the window and close to the internet modem. What should I do?

The noise can be coming from the line or the device.

1. Unplug the modem then plug it back in.
2. Try a different power outlet
3. Check the wire from the modem to the phone or do you have another phone you can try?
