If I remember correctly, it would depend on the recipient provider actually sending the receipt notifications. As I recall, I don't think Bell provided those notifications. I'm not sure which providers are still providing the receipt or read SMS notifications as rich communication services (RCS) has become more popular. However, you should note that RCS messages would be considered data and not text messages.
