Hi, so I have a plus plan at a reasonable price point that I enjoy. I have my own device. I am interested in upgrading my phone to a Fido subsidized device where Fido provides a substantial bill credit. My one concern is around what happens if/when Fido increases the Plan price. With my current BYOD situation, I can switch to a competitor if Fido raises my plan price. Would I effectively no longer have that option if I get the phone upgrade (in theory I could still switch but would need to payout the market price of the phone). The bill credit is almost $45 a month on the device I am interested in. Appreciate your advice on this concern.

Hi @Amber2391 , if you change your plan to get a financed device, you would be committed to a 2 yr plan to receive the monthly discount. If you decide to cancel during that time frame you would be obligated to pay off your device balance remaining and then could cancel your account if you wish. I hope I answered the question.
