HP laptop using Window 7 does not recognize Nexus phone at all.

New here and no way computer smart so I hope someone can help.

When I connect phone with USB it only recognizes the phone as a camera and will ask how I want to import pictures.

Will not recognize it at all on Wi-Fi.

Both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled on the phone and the laptop.

When you connect your Nexus to the laptop using a USB cable a message pops up on the Nexus:  "USB connected" with an option: "Turn on USB storage"   select that option.
