Hello Jojo9652,

  Welcome to the community!

As KAPABLE-K has already noted, Fido does not offer any lease-type financing. Their Payment Program finances the cost of the device over the 24 months. At the natural completion of a Payment Program term, the device is yours to keep.

I understand the query since the device appears to be discounted. However, with many of the device offers, Fido does not actually discount the cost of the device. Rather, they provide a monthly credit to off-set the device cost. That monthly credit is applied to the bill and not device financing cost. The device cost shown on the website was calcuated after bill credit

It would be important to note that the monthy financing fee does not actually change, though. If you choose to end the contract early, you would still be required to pay the total remaining balance of the device. That is, the remaining balance would be $ x remaining number of months, not $-credit x remaining number of months as the remaining monthly credits would no longer apply.

For example, this is the offer currently available for that particular device (on December 30, 2024):

They are not selling the device for $360 + taxes (ie $15 x 24 months). The full price of the device is still $1287 (+ taxes). If you choose to end the contract early, you would be required to pay $53.63 (+ taxes) x remaining # months, not $15 (+ taxes) x remaining # months.

Hope this helps 😀

Cheers

Welcome to the community!

With the Fido payment program, you keep the phone at the end of the term, you can get more information here.
