I just received my Nokia C6 from Fido and was curious if these units are locked or not. The reason I ask is because the packaging had some Rogers information along with Fido. So will this phone work with other carries like Rogers?
Thanks

Rogers is the parent company of Fido, and also a wireless company, they can put the rogers name on the package if they wanted to, its their company. Just because they put it on the package does not mean it will work with Rogers Wireless service, it clearly advertized as a FIDO product.

Thanks for the response. I realize the SIM is locked but I just curious to find out if the Nokia C6 was locked to Fido only or would work on Rogers. Just a passing curiosity!

You could get that phone unlocked and then use it on whatever network use the same ferequencies and a SIM from that network provider. I unlocked my Nokia with a code from ebay for $6 from Ebay, worked perfectly (was a rogers phone) once I put in my Fido SIM - no issues. Your mileage may vary.
