Hi there,
Hope you are doing good. Just note that I am a customer same and just trying to help. Yes, the Samsung Galaxy A55 International version should work on Fido’s network as long as it supports the required LTE bands for Canada. Fido primarily operates on the following bands:

4G LTE: Bands 4 (1700/2100 AWS), 7 (2600), 12/17 (700), 2 (1900), 5 (850)
3G (HSPA): Bands 2 (1900), 5 (850)
You can double-check the phone's specifications on the Amazon listing or Samsung’s website to ensure compatibility. If it supports these bands, it should work seamlessly with Fido. However, note that international models sometimes lack Canadian-specific bands, like Band 13 or 66, which might affect coverage in certain areas.

If you're analyzing specs or working with structured data—like JSON data from a phone’s system information—tools like  https://jsontotable.org  can make such tasks easier by converting raw data into user-friendly tables for analysis of telecom bands. It’s a handy way to break down complex details, just like verifying compatibility.

Hope this helps!

Hello Khajahussain120 and 0002,

  Welcome to the community!

To update the band/frequency list provided, Fido/Rogers no longer operates Band 2 (1900 MHz) on the '3G' network or Band 17 (700 MHz) on LTE network. I understand Band 17 may be a subset of Band 12 (see here), however, I don't believe a device with only Band 17 will be able to access the 700 MHz frequency. You can view the compatible bands/frequencies here. In addition, I don't believe Fido/Rogers has ever used Band 13 (700 MHz).

Unfortunately, none of the Amazon listings I have come across provided a model version number nor band/frequency specification for the device. That said, as far as I am aware, all of the versions should have many of the compatible bands/frequencies (see here). Mind you, the information on that site may not be entirely accurate. So, as Khajahussain120 has mentioned, the device should work on the networks.

However, it should be noted that since the device is not offered from Fido nor is there a Canadian version of the device, it is likely that certain features (ie voLTE and/or Wifi-calling etc) will not be supported.

Hope this helps 😀

Cheers
