Changing in recommended plan when I have Fido Payment Program discount.

I have a phone with Fido. Currently I am in Fido Payment Plan Program. I have $28.50 discount for the Fido payment plan program. The discount is on my plan not on my phone. If I change from my current to recommended plan, Will that effect my Fido Payment Plan discount?

  Firstly, you should note these forums are community-driven and not intended as a venue for customer services. We do not have access to customers' accounts. I think your query might be better suited directed to customer service.

 

  We can offer generalised information regarding the Payment Program. For example, customers financing devices are able to change their plans within the same category without having to pay the remaining balance. However, we would not know the plan type for that particular recommended plan. Many promotional offers may be BYOP-type plans. Switching from a financing-compatible plan to a BYOP plan would cancel the Payment Program agreement and you would be required to pay the remaining balance for the device.

 

  You would need to verify whether that particular recommended plan is financing-compatible or BYOP. If you would like to go over your options, you would need to contact customer service.
