I am now retired and don't require 50 GB data anymore. I told Fido that and was first told you cannot reduce a plan, only increase it. I called back said there was a plan for new customers of 20 GB for $34. I was told this wasn't in my offers so I cannot receive that plan. This was after I told the person I have been with Fido for way over 20 years. Not sure what the big deal is, but i assume they have a set amount they want to make off customers and there is room to move from there. I did get a plan with Koodo which start after this billing cycle is over. a friend switched over to them and said it is no different at all. So obviously Fido could care less about existing loyal customers, only cares about obtaining new customers. Seems a strange way to run a business, but I guess that is up to whoever is charge.

Easiest way to getaway better rate plan is to switch mobile providers. Seems cell phone companies are not interested in retaining customers only getting new ones.
This is what I had to do, I switched from virgin to fido. Virgin would nit offer me what they were offering new customers, so I switched to fido as a new customer.
In a few years I'll probably switch again for the same reason.
Don't be afraid to switch providers.

Hello,
ive been a customer of Fido for over 20 years with 2 lines. I've been trying to lower my monthly plans costs to no avail. New customers get 60G for $40/month while I pay $65 for 50GB. So etching is seriously wrong!
mice been with one of your specialist for now 4hrs!!!! To try to get moved over to Roger's as they are offering me 2 lines more GB for less than $100/month.
This is a joke! I'll be moving elsewhere! No customer loyalty on your part, why should I.

Hello @Nikky24
I went over what you explained here and it's not how we want you to feel. Keep in mind our offers and promotions change on a regular basis. I understand how important it is for you to receive the best offer in order to have the lowest monthly plan. I would suggest keeping an eye on your offers via your Fido Myaccount profile as we constantly have new promotions.
You can find how to find your ongoing offers and change your plan here
