Buying phone at retail price with Fido and activating later?

Hello all,

I was just wondering if it is possible to buy a new cell phone at retail price at a fido store then activate it later on. Maybe a few days later or something. Does it have to be activated on the spot when purchased at retail price?

You can certainly buy a phone at retail price and activate the SIM at a later date.
