That's definitely odd @Hvandenh, it should work as expected.
How long have you had the phone? If it's under a year, then it is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. You can bring it into any Fido store that handles repairs and they'll look into it for you. To find the nearest one check out the store locator and select "Fix my phone".
If you've had it over a year it unfortunately would not be covered. The store can still give you a quote to repair it though or if you'd like we can always go over options for a new phone. Just let us know and we can PM you
