I'm under the impression that the Blackberry server (BES) will only respond to Blackberry phones. Now, depending on the configuration of your company's network infrastructure, it might be possible with your Acer to simply bypass the BES and use your Active Sync to connect directly to the (non-blackberry) enterprise server. You'll have to discuss that option with your I.T. department however.
