Rogers Credit Card Credit Check

Hey everyone, I've been a loyal Fido customer for 4 years now and have always paid my bills on time. I heard that Rogers is offering a new credit card and I'm wondering if they'll do a credit check for existing Fido users with a solid payment history. Anyone know how this works and the requirements to be eligible?

  Welcome to the community!

  As far as I am aware, Rogers Bank is a financial institution and would operate separately from Rogers' telecommunications operations (ie Fido, Rogers Mobile, etc). As a financial institution, I believe they would still require a credit check regardless of status as a Fido or Rogers customer. In fact, they do note that the eligibility for the credit card is subject to credit approval (see here).

  In addition, it should be noted that while Fido customers can avail of many of the same perks the credit card as Rogers customers, the exception would be Fido Roam. Unfortunately, the 5 Roam Like Home days is not applicable to Fido customers (see here).
