I ordered a phone online this morning. After I placed the order and got the confirmation email that's when I noticed the shipping address was wrong (it's got the wrong abbreviated street name). I called customer service and asked for it to be changed/corrected. But there's no way for me to check whether it's been corrected before shipping. I'm very worried by the time they ship and send me the tracking no. from the courier it will be too late to change then. I don't want the phone ending up at a strangers house because the incorrect address is actually a valid address.
how can I check to make sure it will get shipped to the correct address?
I have the same issue and I ordered the phone from nov 26 and Fido sent a change request the next day to the fedex. Fast track my phone is still stuck at fedex and it's been 4 days just sitting at there facility. Trying to talk to Fido rep and fedex to coordinate this issue has been a huge pain since Fido will tell me I need to contact fedex and fedex will say only the shipper can make changes. Also the best part the Fido support person said to call *611 so someone can speak directly to fedex . Guess what there customer solution is closed and you need to go thru chat where I got this suggestion.
It has been done as i stated. And for the updated i got a hold of a manager in fedex and resolve the issue. The change order(address change) wasnt sent out to the location the package was sitting.
Hi @LesF !
We send shipping address change requests to the courier directly and not necessarily where the package is at that moment, as that can change at any time.
Once they receive the request, they can redirect the shipment accordingly.
Just to make sure we're on the same page, you've contacted Fedex and it's now been updated and resolved?
