With the Canada-US calling plans, if you travel to the states, do you still pay the family roaming rates?

Hello Ysah,

  Welcome to the community!

Firstly, what you do mean by family roaming rates?

You should note these forums are community-driven and not intended as a venue for customer services. We may not know all of the details regarding the plans.

That said, as far as I am aware, those plans include calling to/from Canada and US. That would include making and/or receiving calls while in the US (ie roaming in US). I also believe data usage in the US is also included (see here).

However, making calls to destinations outside of Canada-US are not included. Unfortunately, I cannot specify whether such usage would incur roaming charges as well as long-distance (LD) charges or just LD charges.

In addition, it should be noted that all members travelling to the US would need to have similar Canada-US calling plans. If only one family member has that plan, the other family members would incur roaming charges for their usage in the US.

If you would like verification of those details, you would need to contact customer service. In addition, they can also be contacted via Live Chat, Facebook, or Twitter. Those methods can be accessed via the contact page posted above.

Hope this helps 😀

Cheers
