I am a long-term (over a decade) Fido customer. My current plan is a small Fido pulse plan ($40/month). I need a new phone. However, with no notification of such a policy change, Fido suddenly will not allow me to keep my current plan while also upgrading to a new device. So what I am being told is that with the last round of changes, I must not only pay monthly for my phone in addition to the monthly usage charges, but I am also required to upgrade to a new plan, the minimum of which they offer is $10/month higher than my current plan.
Why would anyone choose to stay with Fido at this point???

Hi there,
Sorry to hear the conditions of a hardware upgrade include changing your plan. Some older plans are simply not eligible for hardware upgrades.
That said, we would like to go over your options again with you, if you'll permit.
Please send us a PM here on the Community so we can get started.
Thank you
